Hi
I have a Win 10 64 machine running Windows and a Balance audio interface.
A strange quirk I have on my set up is, no application will let sound through unless I open reason first
So if I boot up open iTunes or YouTube or a game for example it will all run fine just with no sound. If however I open and close reason 10 and retry any of the above, the sound will be fine
Anyone able to help? It’s not a massive issue just means I need to open Reason 10 on every boot. (If R10 has been opened once there are no issues with sound until a new reboot)
Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers
Graeme

I can be totally wrong on this but it seems like Balance might be defaulted only for Reason. Try to open up Windows Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound, and make Balance the default device if it isn't already.graeme75 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018Hi

That's definitely strange. I will say unplug Balance when using other applications and see what happens.
