Ok, so I just finished a song, and something weird happened. I had a bunch of vocal tracks, and only one of them had reverb and delay effects on it, via a send.

When I routed the whole group to a new output bus, both these effects were gone in the new bus. Now, was this supposed to happen or not? Thanks for your input.

Also, please check out my new song, in my signature. :D

No, that should not happened. I expect you made something different that caused the problem. Maybe you post a picture of your routing.

Well the effects will not be "in the bus", they will be mixed in at the master using the returns. So if you bounce only the bus then yes, that is what is supposed to happen :)

I'm attaching 2 screen captures of my session. One showing my vocal tracks with all the tracks soloed, as the vocal bus track is being soloed.

The other picture is of all the busses, and the tracks for the reverb send and delay send, both soloed.

I find that I have to increase the wet amount on the original main vocal track on both the reverb and the delay, to get close to what they were before I routed all the vocals to the vocal bus. If I turn on the reverb and delay on the vocal bus, then all the vocals receive the effects, which I didn't want.
What's going on here? I only want my main vocal having the reverb and delay. What can I do?

Vocal bus, reverb track, and delay track soloed. When doing this, you can not hear the effects unless you increase the amount of the reverb and delay on the original main vocal track to the maximum.

all Vocal tracks soloed because vocal bus is soloed. Note I have a send to reverb and delay, only to my main vocal.

Here is a screen shot of the routing from effects send to Master return. As you see, I give each effect a mix channel with the direct out from the mix channel going to the master return.

Oh, you have actual raturn channels for the effects. You gotta be aware that Reason has this VERY quirky thing where a bus fader is at the same time a DCA for the sends of all channels that are routed to it.

I've discovered this old Youtube video from the Props from 2012, and their method seems to be to not include connecting the Direct outs from the mix channels to the Master returns, but just connecting the side effect outputs to the mix channel inputs.

This maybe what's causing the problem. I'll experiment further and see.
