I haven't had much time to spend in Reason 10 but the few times now there are horizontal strips with black & white checkerboard patterns flashing in and out constantly, even when I'm not touching anything.. some strips are small, some cover half the screen. And it gets worse with every action I make.

Sorry if there is already a thread and I will be contacting PH but I'm about to lose it. It is always something going wrong with my computer ONLY IN REASON.

I have the same iMac as you, and also experiencing graphical anomalies with Reason 10. In addition to what you mentioned, parts of the GUI is very laggy; in particular when navigating the sequencer and also when scrolling the rack. Running Reason in «low resolution mode» solves the issues for me, but it doesnt look very good...

I have been in contact with support, who said they’re working on it.

I stick to Linux & Windows cuz those are really stable and rock solid. I hear It's not the mac, but the newer OS am I correct?
I haven't seen many complaints from guys before the sierra version of macs came out which I find odd.

I use a custom built AMD rig with dualboot Ubuntu/Windows partitions for example.

It is the OS tbh. A shame cause macs used to be the best thing in the music business.
Obviously, if the OS can't shine, so won't the hardware running it.

Custom built rigs are for now the way to go. Buy the parts, build it, install, overclock the crap out of it, and go.

I usually keep my Stuff at either 25% balanced mode (for producing sometimes) or high performance mode setclock of 4ghz (for videogames) if I wanna get to that 4k mark at 24fps.
But judging from the hardware Apple uses, it's probably impossible for me to peg that as the issue.

Apple will have to do something about that obviously so I wouldn't worry too much about that if I were you.
