Hi All!

Do all the sounds in previous versions of Reason always come in later versions? I assume they would but you never know.

I have a friend who is going to share a (probably something like Reason 4 or 5) track they made with me (for me to work on) and was just wondering if all the sounds they used will be in my 8.3 version?

Yes. With the exception of the Line6 devices, everything is still here (patches, samples, the works). Bear in mind though that if you save the song in Reason 8 format for instance, he won't be able to open it back in Reason pre-8 (even if you don't use any new devices).

Can confirm. Even just opening the project and saving it using v8 will cause it to be open-able only in v8 or higher.
