Exactly the point I made above. Reason is made for people who see all the cool devices they can combine like real ones, not for people asking where the presets are. So maybe there should be a warning for people with less experience like OP.Innerst wrote: ↑08 Oct 2017Perhaps this is one of the problems with Reason: how to attract people not having any relationship or memory of the hardware days. You could even argue that trying to emulate a hardware studio is counter intuitive and is even preventing productivity. For new users who are expecting everything served on a gold plate with thousands of high quality patches and loops, Reason may feel strange and awkward.
Reason n00b with questions
It's an interesting thought. I bet there are prolific producers out there who've never heard of an Akai sampler, cos they're more interested in making than in the history of electronic music.
And as that phase of music history gets further and further away, maybe Reason's rack will make less and less sense as a USP? I dunno, just something that hadn't occurred to me before this thread.

They've (PH) stated so themselves, in their product video's, that you "don't have to look at the rack if you don't want to". That is said specifically to attract users who might be intimidated by what is basically the heart and soul of Reason.EdGrip wrote: ↑08 Oct 2017It's an interesting thought. Sorry bxbrkrz, I wasn't referring to the video you posted, which was very informative; great food for thought and Scientific coverage.
I meant what good does it do on this board to come on ReasonTalk forum and use provocative statements toward PHeads and other Reason users as the OP has done and some of the other recent scathing posts/threads. I think, regardless of language barrier it would make more sense to do your research and phrase tone of voice in an amenable standpoint.
I think the video was really cool:-)
As far as colors go, sound is 11 times more complicated/profound than visible light, but you are bang on, it's better to be creative than offensive

This is true for all the boards across the internet. Misery loves boards. It's easy and cheap. Misery feeds on the time you waste reading the post. Once Misery feels enough people (page count) got trapped in that time vampire limbo it moves on. The problem is some people get addicted to the sadness and keep coming back. They forget everything else but the sadness. You wish for an ignore option, or learn to auto skip some names. I usually start reading the end before reading long posts to know if it is a " I made you sad" bait or not.syncanonymous wrote: ↑08 Oct 2017Sorry bxbrkrz, I wasn't referring to the video you posted, which was very informative; great food for thought and Scientific coverage.

I have read it is human nature, that when humans notice something not quite right, like a broken web site as a simple example, we, humans, keep checking back to see if it is still broken or has changed. It's a psychographics thing. So, yeah, you are bang on again

Nothing is broken here, just people giving their opinions that may not be exactly like yours. Because we can do that here, right?
Anyway, I am using Reason more and more now since I have been traveling, and I am happy now because someone has showed me how to use Logic's sampler instruments inside Reason (and I mean actually in the rack!), and also how to clean up the long messy list of Waves plugins and organize them by type (a genius way!) This person also has fixed the Grand Piano A factory piano and it sounds so good! Hi, I know you are reading this so thank you again! The combinator sounds will do for now, and I am highly anticipating Grain because that will be my Alchemy inside Reason and Europa my Serum.

Can you share the work flow with all of us? Who knows, it could be useful for someone with the same setup as yours.mrmiyagi wrote: ↑09 Oct 2017Nothing is broken here, just people giving their opinions that may not be exactly like yours. Because we can do that here, right?

Or the genius that was "reading this" that privately gave these tidbits to him?
I respect the privacy of the genius. It is up to the individual to share with their community or not. No pressure.stratatonic wrote: ↑09 Oct 2017Are you asking MrMiyadi?

Hey mrmiyagi, I am happy to hear you have figured out how to make Reason work for you. It took me some time for Reason to warm up to me as well. I think this is testament to the whole "learn to use your tools before you criticize them" idea. I am excited to see what you can now contribute to the forum, as I think your music has a very good sound.
Took me a while too, the first few months were actually a struggle for me but I stuck with it.Mr. Watts wrote: ↑09 Oct 2017Hey mrmiyagi, I am happy to hear you have figured out how to make Reason work for you. I learned a LOT in the process as well.
