Help? resized midi notes when resizing region

I know this is some obvious simple thing - but I can't find the answer. How do I get the notes in a region to resize when I shorten the region? See attached for note hanging out beyond region after I reduced. Thanks!

Hold control

Holding control rescales everything, so it can also change your curves elsewhere in the track, i.e. it could make fade ins faster. A slightly more complete fix is to double click on the track and edit the underlying data to fit.

Thanks - was looking for the lazy way (hold control) - but I get the other option too.
