Are there any clues in the Reason 10 advert?

In the past, the Props put clues about upcoming features in videos and images they posted on their website or on social media. For example, I remember a video that hinted at Rack Extensions, and a cartoonish graphic that hinted about Alligator, along with other new devices and features.

Looking at the Reason 10 advert (Bobby is out for coffee, But Reason 10 is here!), I wonder if there are any clues about the upcoming release?
  • Is there any meaning to the classic analogue outboard gear on the left?
  • It looks like a Lexicon 224 is on the desk. Just a prop?
  • What about the device behind the keyboard and below the monitor? Can someone identify it?
Some companies share details about their marketing to help build hype. I think it would be interesting to hear from someone with Propellerhead about their concept behind the image, why they chose those props, etc.

And I have to admit that I don't get the Bobby/coffee reference. What's that all about?

Now we’re talking. The central piece of Bobby’s studio. A remote for the SSL?

Yep it's a flux capacitor. Doc brown made them back in 1985. Great devices!

Notice the one cube, maybe representing only part of the Reason logo and one of the three pillars; just the Rack. Perhaps hinting that point updates will come, each focusing on the Sequencer and the Mixer individually. Reason 10 is a milestone number and it's probably in their plans to knock it out of the park with each element of Reason; far too much to deliver in a single release.

A rack featured in the image, because this is an update to the Rack? There is a tape machine because of the tape function in Grain? Furniture and decor looks to be from Ikea, because Sweden. When you play the audio backwards at the beginning, you hear a voice telling you that VST support will be removed in 11, but that you will still be able to run a copy of Reason 10 or previous in conjunction with Reason 11, but that it might be good practice to start bouncing in place.

This is actually quite good. A logical and well measured interpretation.

What's that pyramidal thing on top of the rack?

Some kind of new-age device to put on your head for energy healing?

It could be just "marketing/random stuff because it looks cool", or it could have deeper meaning - as Joey pointed out at the beginning of his post (2 posts) above. It's hard to tell with Ryan - he's incredibly smart when it comes to his approach, but sometimes we tend to read too much into this sort of thing. ;)

This implies the rack needed healing.

To be honest I think this video isn't among Ryan's best work.

(I'll take that back if my mind is blown by something incredibly smart that's hidden)

It's not the video I'm talking about, though (as far as "deeper meaning"); it's this marketing composition:

Took me forever to see it, I kept blinking at the wrong time.
