Yes. Europa is worth the $, then you realize Grain is part of the deal. People should only upgrade if they need to.

just updated from 8, the VST support alone is just too tempting to have in your favorite daw, hope it works alright, the download will take a while to finish

Pretty sure some VST optimization will be in R10, also for the upgrade price is like getting 5 Rack Extensions for $129.99.

I skipped upgrading to 9, so I will definitely be upgrading to 10. The new synths look great, especially Europa, and there are some inexpensive REs that I've got my eye on that won't run in version 8.

Quick question: is this a pole or a poll?

I've said no, but of course I will eventually. I just don't need any more synths right now. If 9.5 had been 10, I would have been champing at the bit.

If you're on 8 or earlier this is a no brainer.
If like me you're on 9 already I'm still not convinced that 10 is worth the beans.
I'll have to see what the stickers look like. If I am going to upgrade before 10.5 I'd be doing it more to support the company and less because it's got things that I want and need.
@pushedbutton on twitter, add me, send me a message, but don't try to sell me stuff cos I'm skint.
Using Reason since version 3 and still never finished a song.

If I have to base this on 5 new instruments and 3GB of new sounds, I would say it's a yes at an upgrade for $129. For me it won't be a rush to upgrade like in the past but more of an eventual. The addition of VSTs and my recent purchase of Serum puts my anxious meter fairly low unlike in the past when I couldn't wait to upgrade back when Reason didn't have the same amount of options and versatility they currently have.

Now I can calmly wait like I did with 8 and 9.

funny how 60% say they will upgrade and still there is a almost 50 page topic with people complaining and wining about how bad this update is. empty barrels make the most noice is a saying

Not impressed at all. Reason 10 seems like a rig I don't need.
I choose wait for a software update.

Grain is something I've wanted to see in Reason for a while and Europa looks pretty fun and immediate to use. I'll be definitely upgrading but demoing / beta right before I pull the trigger to test performance on my aging Mac (late 2009 with 4GB) before I do.

For 129 dollars? Sure why not. I still have a tiny bit of faith in that propellerhead with add some additional workflow features in the future. I can’t seem to leave Reason...my workflow is just glued to how everything is in Reason.

I will be upgrading but maybe not on day one. Already own Radical Piano and Synchronous. Grain looks to be super sweet and Europa could be fun as well but there a few synths I'd rather buy first (Nostromo, and The Legend). Need to check out the video that shows some of the new sounds.

Don't go off performance from the Beta. The demo of the release would be better to judge.

I upgraded to 9.5 in August - and I would've gotten reason 10 for the same upgrade price if I had waited until Sep 1? Seems lame.
I'm sure Propellehead would be accommodating if you emailed them regarding this matter.
Thanks for the suggestion - but I did and they were not - disappointing.
