new pc, AMD A8 7650 cpu

Hey folks, I got a gift of a new pc, it has an AMD A8 7650 processor. 16g of ram to start with, Im just about to upgrade to reason 9.5.

Does anyone have any experience with this cpu? I would have gone for a different mother board and i7. But this is what I have at the moment.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

The A series is based on the very old and shitty Bulldozer AMD architecture with a low-mid ranged graphics integrated into it. TO be completely honest, it won't be good at anything else other than office work and watching videos. On the upside, you didn't get the crappiest one.

Doing good so far with a 3 year old A10 cpu. The A series is usually compared to some old i5-i7 models, sandy bridges basically.
