Making a song just using LFO gates. Not using any sort of sequencer. Only Automation for mutes/solo on/off or levels is allowed on the sequencer no notes allowed in the sequencer and using only samples.

What do you mean, no notes in the sequencer? How do you control pitch?

I'd rather do a challenge using only the devices available in Reason 1.0.

No, using everything.

I get the point of your LFO challenge, but personally that doesn't interest me. It would be interesting though, to see what we come up with using all the old "legacy" devices and nothing else. Especially now in this rack extension/vst world.

So just do it how you normally would? That's not really a challenge the point is to step outside your boundaries.

Dr. Rex and Mix Channels are not from Reason 1 and Line Mixer is missing.
Otherwise, sounds interesting. Although I mostly work like this already.

The line Mixer is from Reason 3.
Dr Rex was in Reason 1, but yes technically it wasn't the OCTO rex we have now.
And yes, you would have to bypass the SSL completely and use only the reMix.

I'm actually working on my One-Synth-EP using Pulsar as the only sound generator.
But I do use the sequencer and the Matrix device because Pulsar can handle MIDI pitch information.

So this challenge follows a different but also interesting approach.
By using samples, the question is: What is allowed to use and what not?

Samples any you can think would sound well. Suppose Instrument patches are okay to use also. Just be easier to use just samples I reckon.
