The ssl's dynamics section, or automating as well as wiring sidechains directly to a midi source to trigger the gates, or an alligator, or a rack extension.

Besides what friday already said, there is also SCRE (Side Chain ReAction Enveloper):

It can do "common" ducking effect ("sidechain" a là Nicky Romero Kickstart), and way more if you want to go really deep with volume envelope shaping.
