Thanks, No pretty sure he isn't, Logic Pro I believe.Marco Raaphorst wrote:Nice skin! I'm not sure which model Roland it is but I thought it might make a cool generic 'Vintage Roland' combi backdrop. I've included a photo of Eddie Rayner that I took with said keyboard.

As you may see, I've used the mod and pitch wheels as controls for Soft pedal and sostenuto, because my tri pedal is connected to CC#64, CC#01 and Pitch wheel.
That's the way I could send three signals from my controller for Reason (as my controller originally has only one pedal input. The other two are my own electronic reform on the board), Then I've programmed the Combi to perform those effects mapping both wheels.
Well... kinda weird way, but works

Sorry I didn't post the original skin!!
You have to resize it to 755 width 138 height, I post the hi res just in case you find a way to resize it with more quality than I did.

Many people mention the wrong sizes the Combinator should be. The exact size is:
754 width
138 height

What is the quickest way to exactly place labels on a blank skin, and avoid putting things where the combinator puts the knobs and buttons?

IMO the easiest way is to have a Standard combi template file (screenshot based). That pattern image is a layer in Photoshop with a 50% opacity, then you add whatever you want to edit in another layer (or layers). Finally you switch off the template's layer and save your design.jfrichards wrote:What is the quickest way to exactly place labels on a blank skin, and avoid putting things where the combinator puts the knobs and buttons?
Nevertheless there are other possibilities, for example I did my design in 3dsmax, with another technique quite different than PS workflow. But as in PS, I've used a template from a standard Combi as well.

There are endless possibilities for creative use of Combinator skins. This example is to create a visual ambience while working on a particular song with particular devices.

the Props should invent the Linked Combinator. Linking Combinators together to create a Super Combi. Like this:
- using the link connector on the back you can combine Combinators
- all linked Combinators will be saved under the same name and that name appears in all the combinators as patch-name
Very simple.

Nice knobs on that Combi!!

We must to do what I greatly saw. Contemplative. [trans.: You just need to move a few things sliiightly then they'd be spot-on.]8cros wrote: Pandora iii.jpg
I put this in another thread, but I guess it belongs here. I made this whilst building a DMX Kong for myself. I used a couple of external fx, so wrapped it in a combi.

Hi everyone. Here are some of my past creations.
Just bought that, and the echo and spring reverb combis too, just cos they look ace and I'll enjoy popping them in the rack. Will have to make dub now though.joeyluck wrote:Not posting to share for use, but just posting as an example of the coolest Combinator skin I have seen
Very creative! They have many other great ones: http://refills.ekss.se/
I think this is the best combinator skin I have seen so far. Very clever in making it look like it's own unique device.EdGrip wrote:Just bought that, and the echo and spring reverb combis too, just cos they look ace and I'll enjoy popping them in the rack.
