Players OFF button not= bypass

I've noticed that if i have a Scales and Chord in front of a Dual Arppeggio and I switch Scales and Chord OFF I get a change in sound but its a different result than if the scale and chord player isn't present . Very noticeable with Radical Piano, less so with ID8 but still there. I assumed on on/off button would be the same as the bypass feature but it doesn't appear to work that way. Feature or bug and if its a feature is there a description somewhere? My Reason 9.1 help has nothing about the ON/OFF button presumably because its supposed to be obvious.

[edit] removed for clarity.. The issue was somewhere else.

I create a track with some chords
I include a Radical Piano (American Pop Piano) with a Dual Arpeggio (Action)
I duplicate the track and play both tracks.
They are essentially identical with a touch of phasing
I add a SC player to track one (default, B major) and switch it off
The tracks are no longer identical. Some notes are changed or muted from track 1
I delete the SC player from track 1
I add a SC player to track two and switch it off
The changed / muted notes move to track 2
It might be additional latency through the Off SC player but something is changing.

Ah, that's not what I tested, so I don't know until I get home :)
[edit]
Got home and tested this scenario you describe here. Over here the tracks stay the same, no missing or muted notes..

could you attach your project file ? i'm getting very curious as to what might be going on here.

I wonder if I may have answered my own question. Perhaps by having chords as the input to the SC Player there is still some filtering going on in the player when its off.
Here is the file. Track 1 is without player, track 2 with OFF SC player. Turning all players off gives the same output on both channels as does using the Player master bypass.

Hah.. now you've pinpointed the problem. Well spotted ! I think this is indeed unexpected behaviour.
If you pan track 1 to the left, and 2 to the right the behaviour is even more obvious.

If you look at these settings you have no randomization of notes going on. So thats good.

If you then look at the rendered notes (send to track) for both you can see the difference.

So there's defenitely something unexpected going on. I'd say report it to Propellerheads, see what they say about it.. point them to these posts for further illustration. Good find :)
