I was using the original drivers provided by M-Audio. Again, the sound-card itself made it very easy via its own control panel. (Which compared to nowadays tools was pretty advanced.)

Drivers actually blocking anything else but one application is odd indeed these days. I use Balance now, which doesn't allow for any fancy routines, but at least doesn't block the driver when using e.g. Reason.

Another trick is to use your on-board sound-card along with your dedicated interface. With some routing tools (maybe JACK) you could possibly try to route stuff from there into Reason, but like I said, I never liked setting it up.
Yeah, It's good! And audacity too,, you're enjoying to edit sound record and whatever you want. In their audacity guides can teach you using their software rightly . They can also able to use on android.

I use screen recorders for this job.
:)
Nice! Going to try this on some old youtube documentaries :)
In the 90s, my midi music was on the Baulder's Gate site. That was my life peak.
Reasonite since 2000. My music (and my old midi) can be found here:

I would suggest using Voicemeeter (Banana or Potato)

This is a mixer/virtual cable router software.

With something like ASIO4ALL it works for me(and also the drivers that came with my interface). I just open youtube and audacity and record youtube with it while Reason is open.
I have also ASIO4ALL but when Reason is open no sound is coming out of other programs/applications. How did you manage to make it work because this is impossible unless you don't have it selected in your Audio interface on Reason or Audacity.

And if you guys looking for a converter then this one is the best so far out there: http://convert2mp3.net/en/ . The guy who created this deserves a bear or something.

I'm using https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/ to have a loopback device to record anything I want.

If using a mac, Soundflower works great and free.

Windows is a bit more confusing but a program I bought for like $20 is Total Record. But there are many options.

I use VoiceMeeter for the job of sampling snippets and bits and pieces, and it works well here on my Win10 laptop. It's free. I haven't been able to work out how to use their HiFi Cable (bit-perfect), but I don't need it.

If I want to grab the whole of a YouTube video quickly, I use ClipGrab.

I had a lot of issues with that hifi 'cable'.

Nothing worked, I just went with the normal Voicemeeter setup.
