I have reason 8 & 9 on the same machine (Win 10 64bit). Until now no problems . The only thing that happened was a crash of the carve RE when opening R9. Don't know if this was related to R8. It happened only one time.
Under C/Programs/Propellerhead you will have one folder for R 8 & one for R9.
But probalbly I will deinstall R8. 2.5 GB or more disk space just for keeping the line 6 devices ?

I have them but installed and usable with no problems, but I haven't tried to have 8 and 9 running at the same time, if that's what you mean.
8 and 9 on the same machine, Windows 7. I still need 8 for a collaboration with a friend.
No issues found yet. During the beta, 8 also had the favorite list of 9 included, but apart from that, no issues. One minor thing is project file assignment, so rather open the version of Reason you like to use first and then browse for the project file, instead of trying to open the project file from the file explorer, as it may prompt you to the version you don't want to use. Oh, and make sure you have clear folders for projects for each version, as once saved in R9...

I installed 9 last night but didn't uninstall 8 so now have both. Only issue I have is I need to log in to my account to run 9 while 8 is automatically authorized. I kinda wanna keep 8 hanging around for a while in case I come across an old file where I've used a line 6 device but would prefer the authorization to work the other way around.
Edit: Realised when I got home today that all I needed to do was authorize my pc to run Reason 9. Silly me

You could share the Orkester bank via hard links and reduce the size. Reason itself is around 175MB.
