Is anyone else experiencing slow download times? I'm wondering if maybe they don't have enough server bandwidth (I think that's a thing?) to handle everyone downloading today. I'm on Verizon Fios, and just did a test on speedtest.net, showing >100 MBPS download speeds, but my download has been sitting at 0.0/3.5 GB for the past few minutes, and is estimating anywhere from 17 hours to 3 days download time.

I tried downloading the version without soundbanks, and the 177 MB zip file downloaded in 30 seconds.

I canceled the download, and tried restarting, and kept getting an internal server error. I tried again, and it looked like it was going much more quickly at first, but now it's slowed a bit. says 3 hours now, which is fine, since I'll be at work all day. I just hope I don't run into the problem you had, decibel; I don't want to have to start downloading all over again when I get home.

Can't we download it without soundtracks? I don't need the new sounds

Yes, the version without soundbanks downloaded fine for me, in less than a minute. I'm guessing it's just bottlenecking for the version with soundbanks, as people are trying to download that one.

Here ( in Italy) I downloaded the 3,5 gb dmg in aproximately 40 minutes.

maybe the reason mine is taking so long is they're shipping them overseas to the US by the kilobyte.

As far as I've seen they use a CDN for distributing files. Comparing download speeds isn't very useful because each of you is downloading from a host close to your geographical location as that is what a "Content Delivery Network" does.

I figured as much. that's why I was curious where others who are downloading live. I'm not sure what time it is in different parts of Europe, but I'm guessing their peak download time for release has passed, and that might be (partly) why they're not having trouble downloading. I started first thing in the morning in north America, so I'm guessing there are a lot of other people here who were all trying to get their downloads started before heading off to work. :)

The host we download from is called cdn.propellerheads.se. This is hosted by edge networks. Check Edge's website to find where your filed are sourced from.

Okay I've tried 3 times now and the fastest download speed I've gotten is 90kb/second (that's a 10 hour download time). So yeah...that's not really working for me.

Hopefully the download will be complete when I get home, but if not, I'll definitely take a look. Thanks for the tip!

I got a response from support; they say to go to...
https://www.propellerheads.se/user/products/

Please click "show details" under Reason 9 then click:

"online only" and download it.
Then it says R9 is currently only available for online use, but they're going to be fixing that today.

Hoping I won't have to try this myself, but maybe it'll help others out. :)
