Probably. The new class of devices ("players") is interesting, but not entirely compelling to me. I'm more interested in the in-sequencer pitch tweaking, and some experimental possibilities it suggests. Add to that the fact that this is probably the update where the Line 6 amps drop off, and I'm a little cool on the release, there's nothing that screams "must buy!" to me.
That said, it looks like there will be enough of a general improvement, and I'm fairly confident there will be at least one "point" update in R9, that while I may not be flinging my money at the upgrade on day one, I'll upgrade to R9 eventually.

Don't think I will. Still on 7, but using Reason less and less. That said, I think this is a good Reason upgrade, especially for the Reason-centred producer who skipped 8.
No. After watching the video again the devices are okay but its not what I want. Audio editing features is what I want. Good update but not for me.

Ja, Si, Oui, Yes and Hell Yeah!
I have embraced Allihoopa. Come listen and play with my crap Figure loops here:

They really are crap.

I think it would've been cool if the poll asked what version you are upgrading from or what version you are staying on.
I've seen several R7 users (not necessarily here, but other places) say that it's a good upgrade for R7 users, but not for R8; the version they don't own. I'm on Reason 8 and this is still well worth the upgrade for me! Let the R8 users speak for themselves

Undecided, but leaning toward yes.
There isn't one standout feature that's making it a must-buy for me, but cumulatively 8 and 9 together (upgrading from 7) are looking like enough improvements to justify the purchase.
That said... Reason upgrades are competing with the RE shop these days. When I decided to pass on Reason 8, I bought Predator RE instead (I just pretended it was my Reason upgrade ). Depending on what May Madness brings, I might still wait just a bit on upgrading.

I thought about that, but sometimes a simple yes or no is all we need.joeyluck wrote:I think it would've been cool if the poll asked what version you are upgrading from or what version you are staying on.

Yes, I'll upgrade. The new features are great - I've been using them in Logic Pro X since 2013
I agree with Joeyluck.
Yes, I'll upgrade from R7.

hell yeah !
I fell for the discounted 8.3 upgrade during Black Friday (the convolution verb did the trick....); but the 9 announcement got me super X-ited !
Those 3 player devices look like SO much fun ! !
thumbs up Props; looks promissing ^^

On R8 here. Not sure if doing it from day one, depends on how the demo convince me as well as the new sounds. But probably will do it, so voted yes.
For those on lower versions than 8, there cant be much of a hesitation. Its always a struggle between upgrading or buying some wanted RE:s on sale.
Glad to see the happy welcoming of R9. Hope that this will bring PH into a flow of new inspiration towards further updates of R9.

Was going to say no originally and get better at what I have. But why be boring.. I like trying new things. Plus, switching to Reason has made me more creative then other audio programs so they deserve more of my money.
