2 days ago I received this email from Propellerhead Forum, wtf?

Is it because the user who sent me the PM is a developer/ beta tester and they still have a forum?

Yes, there is still a version of the old forums running, for tester and developer purposes.
I suppose the message is explained by the fact that the old user database is still in place, and PMs are still working.

Does that mean threads from the old puf have not been destroyed?

I would love to be able to get some of my old threads (on how to achieve sounds and stuff on Reason in which I got very good responses) e-mailed to me as a read-only perhaps. I thought this was very unfair off the Props to not allow that after the puf were taken down.

Would it be worth messaging Propellerhead about this?

You can ask them. I cannot access the old PUF. I do believe it was deleted and/or archived.
