If I slice a wave file with the razor tool, it only plays the slice as it is. With a Rex slice, it plays the same way but there is always a delay or slight echo at the end. Is there a way to stop that from happening?

I believe it's a brief ping-pong to minimise any gaps introduced by slower tempos. The only way to stop it is to shorten the note lengths in the sequencer.

Try working the envelope in the octorex. Shorter decay time at low to mininmum sustain should do it.
Cheers!
