I've been a reason user for a while, 6.5. Had extra money, decided to go for reason 8.

Now I'm blocked from propellerheads website, so I can't get my REs, load my ignition key, use reason at all.

What the fuck did I drop $129 for?

Any advice aprreciated.

How are you blocked? Are you sure it's not your antivirus acting out? What do you see when you launch Reason?

i can't get on the website. I tried with tor-browser and I was able to get on, so they must have blocked my IP. It makes no damn sense, I buy stuff, don't pirate their shit etc. And they spit in my face.

It feels like we're missing part of the story.

1. could it just be that they've updated their server details and your internet service provider hasn't got the latest server settings (used to take a full week to propagate years ago)
2. it rarely ever is "your" ip, turn off your router for 2
10 seconds and you'll be on a new ip anyway

In any case it probably serves next to identify exactly what is happening first.

Disregard, my internet is a mess, couldn't get on some other sites either.

I turned my phone into a hotspot and got all my REs activations etc, good to go.

Heheh, don't feel bad. I've been struggling with what I thought was my router's Wifi radio failing over the past 2 months. Suddenly all of my wireless devices (iPhones, iPads, laptops) would only download at less than < 1 Mbps even though my service provides 125 Mbps down. So I spent the past weekend running about 70 feet of CAT5e cable, doing custom RJ45 terminations (which is a batch, BTW), and wired my daughter and wife's computer to my router as I didn't want to spend the money on a new one.

NOPE.

Didn't fix anything. WTF??!!! So in a final act of desperation, I took a paperclip and reset my router to "factory default" and set it up all over again as a new router... and everything works perfect now! :?

Sometimes these things work themselves out, and sometimes it's totally user error.

Nah ISPs are fucking idiots I don't believe them and I really hate them. They cap the internet the shit out of it. Since the majority of the people only use their internet for Youtube, If youtube works people are ok. The funny part I don't visit youtube maybe I do that once in a week and I'm not youtube user unless I wanted to see Music related things. My Best solution to that is PIA. Private internet access VPN. I get faster than the speed My ISP gives me. The best part I'm not even restricted to anything. I don't even use ISP DNS server at all.

try your cellphone or WIFI from a shop if you think it's IP/router related

If surfing with tor you've got an anonymous IP from a Proxy which might be blacklisted

If you used the Tor browser, then they wouldn't know what your IP is--they'd see *an IP address* it just wouldn't be yours.

How about trying to access the site using a normal browser?

Update: shut router off, then on. Problem solved.

Was way over thinking things, about what I could have done to get on props bad side, when all I had to do was flip a switch.
