When Do You Think We Will See Reason 9?

Just a little light hearted thread.

When do people here predict Reason 9 will be released?

I know there has been talk of Reason 8.4 before that (which I would've thought we'd have had by now) so take that into account. Hopefully before March for Reason 8.4 and my prediction is about June for Reason 9. If so, that's been a long gap between Reason 8 and 9. That's 19 months since Reason 8's release on September 30th 2014. Wow!

This isn't a feature suggestion either btw lol!

So let's hear it, when do people predict it will be released?...

As you said, R 8.4 in March/April and R9( or R8.5) late summer or so ... maybe btw. 18 month is not so long, the gap between R3 and R4 was nearly 3 years , so relax and make music instead ...

I expect some sort of major version change by October 2016, judging from what they said regarding dropping the Line6 devices by that time.

I have received some leaked info from a trusted, inside source that another thread predicting the release of Reason 9 will come in about two weeks.

Included will be:

- Predictions based upon the Reason 8.4 tease
- Predictions based upon Line 6 device removal
- Somebody will threaten to leave Reason and/or say "Reason 7 for life!"
- Users will come to the conclusion that ultimately it is unpredictable, but going by the first two points is your best bet

I doubt PH is coming out with anything before March 15. The Reason with the big rigs are discounted again by March 15.

Interesting, because most of the reviews I've read (publications), haven't been negative. Or do you mean the usual moaning and batch we get at the forums (all of them)?

I understand sometimes only a part of the discussions - but if the content is not with what is written on the box Release Notes

I don't understand what you're trying to convey. Both convolution in RV7000 and the zoom to selection were added in 8.3. Isn't that what's written on the box?

IMHO stay far away of 9 release with bugs and fixes - I bought my reason upgrade 7.5 on 8.3 on black friday November 27, 2015

Now we're making progress! So you're saying that the release notes didn't include the bug fixes (they did, actually), and at any rate, you suggest waiting to upgrade to the next major version until a few point releases. I can dig that.

Just took a lot of coaxing to get it out clearly!

I experienced zero bugs with Reason 8. Only a few behavioral things that were fixed due to requests. Happy about that.

But myself like everybody else had the opportunity to public beta test and use the demo when it was released. So, I see no point in saying that you need to wait before buying a new version. You simply need to try it.
