Who is using a DAW with stereo interleaved option?

I use to use logic back in the day and remember it had an stereo interleaved option when burning to cd. Since a stereo interleaved file looks just like a mono file I was wondering how it sounds compared to mono on one speaker on phone. Will you be able to hear all panning on one speaker/phone? Please provide audio files if you can,thanks.

A stereo interleaved file is a stereo file, it does not look "just like a mono file". CD audio is itself stereo interleaved. A mono playback device will handle it like any other stereo input. There is no way to hear panning on one speaker.
