Removing tempo data from exported files?

I've been doing some sound design sessions recently and I've been bouncing some newly created samples. I noticed that the tempo saves with the sample, and when I import them to another project, they will stretch to the project's tempo unless I disable stretching. this is great for loops, but not necessarily for other hits or sounds. is there a quick way to just remove the tempo data from these exported samples?
