Have I missed something all this time or is there a way to export the curve of portamento?
It would be nice to be able to apply the notes and portamento as a single signal so that the curvature between notes could drive a filter or something.
Is this possible?

Is there at least a way of determining how long it takes to curve to the next note based on knob settings so the curve being applied could be reverse engineered mathematically?

No, that too is instrument dependent.QwaizanG wrote:Is there at least a way of determining how long it takes to curve to the next note based on knob settings so the curve being applied could be reverse engineered mathematically?

Traditionally there were two ways of creating Portamento (or Glide)
1. Set Time - pitch slides x number of semitones per second
2. Total - pitch slides to destination in x number of seconds
Option #1 was the first method but creates a problem in that if you set glide time to 1 second for 1 octave, when you play a glide over two octaves it takes 2 seconds to re-establish correct pitching. Gets messy despite perhaps being more accurate.
Option #2 is the common method as if you set the glide time to 1 second it will be 1 second no matter if you are gliding one semitone or 4 octaves.
As for glide shapes I have always assumed Linear. Maybe Selig knows if Exponential or Log shapes are used to give the illusion of linear travel.??
