I know in the past he was a mostly hardware/workstation guy—composing and arranging on keyboards such as the ASR-10 and Korg Triton as well as MPCs. For software, he mostly stuck to Pro Tools (being the easy choice in the past when working with studios), but he still continued to compose most of his stuff on hardware—workstations and such. Not sure if he dabbled in Reason in the past, but nice to see him using it now (and not spending his time complaining about it) =)

For a long time I thought Timbaland was an alias of Justin Timberlake.

True story.

It's not Timbaland who uses Reason.

In the 90's I played Nintendo.

It's just that whenever I saw the name Timbaland pop up, I assumed it was Justin Timberlake they were talking about because he's like a really famous guy and famous people do weird shit with their names all the time, like J.Lo.

And I'm still not sure if Puff Daddy and P. Diddy are the same. I refuse to Google it.

Toro-Y-Moi used only Reason for years. He still uses it to demo songs.

Already mentioned, but Todd Rundgren records his entire albums with Reason nowadays via laptop. Ever heard "AWATS" from the early 70's? "The Hermit of Mink Hollow"? The guy is legendary.

My favourite reason producers:

- The Widdler
www.twitch.tv/the_widdler/profile/past_broadcasts
(he does really detailed and advanced reason based production streams on twitch)

- Josh Mobley (aka neoverse)

- Adam Fielding

- Lucky Date

Mike Posner... A few of his videos show him using Reason for production including this one for a song that charted on the Billboard Top 100 a few years ago.

You can probably tell well before but you can clearly see its Reason at 2:35..

Here's the article. Dude has a very level head about things, I feel.
That's an excellent article, and I completely agree with the point.

At the end of the day none of us are Propellerhead employees that must use the tool, and by trying out other DAWs you can learn stuff you wouldn't have learned in the Reason environment. Doing so, you might find you prefer another DAW, or you may find that all the little niggles about Reason that annoyed you no longer are so important.

Change for the sake of change is a healthy thing.
That cab also work in reverse. It seems some end users need confidence because producer X is using the same app. Ever notice they never put was DAW was used on CD covers? The listener doesn't care.

Harry Fraud, hop hop producer. According to Google he uses Reason. He's good, too.
