I am a total beginner with Reason, but I have some experience with good old trackers from the Amiga days, like Protracker and also FastTracker for Windows.

So, I am trying to learn Reason, and my mission is to make this Romanian style house song. Some examples are:

Elena - Midnight Sun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97lZqdc1_2U
Dony Feat. Elena - Hot Girls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjmhlLQt_QE
Mattyas - Missing you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msmz27Y-n8w
Bogdan Ioan - With you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUuZ_AVN1r8

I think what they have in common is an accordion sample or a saxophone sample or something like that.

Could you tell me a little about this? Can you point me in the right direction? Is there any samples I can use to learn?

Heya. I used to use Octamed on the Amiga , the good 'ol days!

Got to say I was intrigued by hearing what Romanian house sounds like... and I should confess the accordion is my least favourite instrument. No2 is the bagpipe ;)

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be an accordion in the Reason factory bank, and even if there was, it would take a bit of skill to get it sound like an accordion being played properly.

I think your best bet is to use sampled phrases. If you're just messing around and don't have any desire for an immediate commercial release, then I reckon you should just try to find some traditional accordion music CD/record, and just sample a couple of phrases or loops. You can then bring the audio file directly into Reason (if using 6.5 and above) or use the Reason sampler.

Alternatively, there are tonnes of sample packs out there you can buy, and then use however you want. Good sample packs don;t tend to be cheap though... just google 'accordion sample pack' and I'm sure you'll find some where you can hear the demos.
