Was reading the press release for VECTO this morning and the language and endorsement used here, tell me this isn't Props retort the the RE critics out there, especially the first line
'
That Propellerhead's proprietary platform has proven so popular is beyond reasonable doubt... and when the Swedish music software application, interfaces, and technology standards specialist first introduced its revolutionary Rack Extensions concept -- custom-built plug- ins for Reason, Rob Papen himself promptly pronounced it as being "...a brilliant concept." Continuing, he subsequently summarised its inherent value to the likes of his namesake company as well as added fringe benefits for all concerned: "Clearly, what we face as a developer is having to have a PC version and a Mac version, and if you run them in your regular host, you can crash your host. That's a real big battle. People, if they use Reason, learn that things are connected. It's cross-platform; everything works. It's a major leap forward for Reason, and productions coming out of Reason will sound totally different. Reason remains Reason, but, now, it's open'

Well I assumed it to be the press release, the folks at Sonicstate don't tend to write such lengthy passages about news, they usually copy and paste from somewhere and this certainly sounded like it was written by the vendor...but I may have been wrong, which has been known to happen from time to time (last time was Feb 4th 1984

This quote is from when REs first appeared. He said roughly the same thing in the first RE promo video.

The quote is from the Rob Papen Company press release sent out today, June 11, 2015. Sonic State and the Papen Company are both enthusiastic about Vecto, and rightfully so.
Personally, I love that synth designers are gradually increasing the phat, evolving sounds of multi-source, multi-modulation devices with visual methods for input. It is taking us far away from the thousands of boring, nasal multi-saw soft synths that sound thinner, more empty and more annoying than the boastings of their creators.
The new generation of soft-synth designers are leading the way into the upcoming revolutions with touch-screen performance control. Exciting times if you can get past the noise.

yeah they don't do interfaces any more so i guess it's an old quote.
i personally feel the criticism stands. no doubt they're making bank on it but it's just a bit too niche to get wider developer support it seems. the format also has performance issues as a tradeoff for that cross platform stability.
