Obviously keeping my RE but I think I'm going to jump the reason ship for a year or two.
So what do you think is a good price to sell R7 with Ignition Key?

Normally, I would say about $300 would be fair. But considering the added incentives for buying Reason new, I'd guess $200 would be more realistic. That's just a guess, but if it were me and you were charging $300, I'd scrounge around for the other $100 to buy it new and get all the free REs.

Yeah good point.. All these RE bundles are making even reason worth less..

Or you can list it for $300 and be prepared to haggle. :)

Hmm I can only try, better than reason sitting there unused.

Not if you use it. When used properly, it's worth quite a bit. ;)

Yes obviously..

I have spent over $1000 in RE and used reason since v4. But I just find myself using other tools these days so thought I'd offload reason until there's a decent update (mainly sampling added to RE SDK and note to track)

Plus I don't use the stock devices really as I have over 80 REs so I figured I'd just buy reason essentials down the track ;)

There are other things missing from Reason Essential e.g. EQ/Spectrum analyzer etc. (You can check it here) so if I were you I would not sell Reason 7 as it won`t get you too much money but wait until 9.0 comes out as it seems PH plan is to add features to every major version in point updates.

Wait until the new sale end. If you sell it in $250 people will prefer buy it from PH, because for 149 more ($399)
will get R8 + $350 on RE.

Also, $250 is high price, because the person that buy it and want to upgrade will pay $129, so will end paying
$379 that is almost the full price.

so basically just keep it lol..

every other piece of software i own i can sell and recoup some of my outlay. for reason its like 10% is all i can ever get back.. wow

edit: actually probably more like 5% including all versions going back through V4-5-6-7 and I bought Record too. Damn they milked me good :P

I agree. $250 is very high. R8 is 399 with more than $350 worth of RE`s.
You don`t get those RE`s when upgrading from R7. $150 is the limit for
what I would call a fair price.

There was a lot of people selling R7 in PUF beginner forum just before it closed.
They went for $100-150. With all the bundles with R8, I would say R7 at least is
worth less now.

You might get more, but if you want to sell for a fair price... ;)

Cheers :)
