To Everyone:

I'm of the school that if you can't say anything nice, try not to say anything at all.

I invite all of you that are annoyed by these threads to do the same!

Just like on the PUF, many of us complain about threads like this, and then keep them alive by posting in them again and again. When in reality, if all those who saw these threads as pointless didn't ever post in them, these thread would quickly die off and disappear from the first page.

I only post here and now to try to keep things from getting out of hand.

So that's my 2 cents - don't post here if you don't want to see threads like this live on. Why? Because posting here obviously doesn't produce the desired result! So why keep doing it?!?

Is this thread better placed in the kitchen? It is a bit of an irrelevance. I usually visit the general and the RE sub-forums for 'useful' information and not pisstake threads.

I am unable to ignore you due to forum limitations.
we can try to use the non-tech ignore :) I mean, just don't comment on these threads, don't even open them. I have nothing against you or Scotty, but I want this forum to be a fair and peaceful place. Maybe this thread belongs in the kitchen, but it is about Reason. Scotty's personal vision of a future version. This forum is limited in some technical regards, but it is a great new home :)

Same, I have nothing against ScottyM either and I think he's a bit of a character. I just think this thread should be in the Kitchen.

I like the end fresh light look  of R8 - if PH did the something like this i'd hope they had options to alter the appearance .

if need be, it's a half a minute job to adjust down the brightness /contrast on my monitors -- though the cpu is where the work is done usually , not the display!

Well, it is about Reason and it's GUI. I realize Scotty's designs might be controversial but this is still on topic and not breaking any rules.

Fair enough, you're the boss. Guess we can look forward to this thread bouncing around the top of the General forum list for a while yet. I get the irony in me posting this. But I've had my say, nothing further to add, especially about the ScottyM re-design.

I've been up really early today (before 8am) and so pretty tired as it just turns 12am here, but as I know there is many many people enjoying this thread, you might be interested in another exciting project over on the hardware and software section to check out click here.. HYPERTRIBE 1080 These projects have been running in parallel the past few weeks, for this one I didn't stop at the new mixer... but that will come a bit later ;) .
I just want to point out that what I do for what you see, takes a great deal of time, patience, mental thinking and technical effort, more than a few hours, I mean days, weeks and even into months...I push my creative boundaries so you (and developers) can learn from it and so I will one day earn from it with something to show for it, just food for thought :)

No offense Scotty mate, but that's a nightmare.

How I present things, how they differ between that and actual operation, and how my objectives differ from project to project in my aims and goals isn't obvious to many. There is more than meets the eye, some people do actually tune into what I'm doing and there are others who don't, but I will always keep you guessing.  ;)
