Reason 8.2 Quick Launch Disappeared...Auto Updates?

Hmmm, starting Reason 8.2 on my Win7 machine today and the Quick Launch shortcut has disappeared after I clicked it. I rebooted...still gone... User error? Hmmmm, maybe...also, there has been a "new" desktop icon suddenly appear for Reason exe for a week or so. Looks like auto update shenanigans to me. Anyone else?

I've not noticed a update in the last week. Version 8.2 did install to a different directory than 8.1 used. So any old shortcuts would have broken if you uninstalled a version before 8.2.
