That should solve just about every outcome for you
You have several options but really the best is to:
- File/Bounce Mixer Channels
- choose what you want to Bounce. For now perhaps just the Master as that is what you hear (incl. FX so perhaps turn sends like reverb off so you have choices later).
- On Malstrom Mix Channel turn on Rec Source button
- Choose the Matrix as Source in the new Audio Track
- Make sure Audio Track is Armed and pop into Record, that will record just the Matrix (plus any FX in the Insert box)
That should solve just about every outcome for you

This would make a great tutorial for users (like me...) who always feel like they are in beginner mode.
1. Start with a setup that sounds good, but is a bit of a mess.
2. Clean it up by using tools that are less well understood by a beginner (combis, insert effects, send effects, etc.)
3. Demonstrate several options for outputting/recording audio with and without effects.
So many tools, so little time to learn how to use them... Thanks to everyone here for sharing so much knowledge and experience.
