Awesome new apps and there's a 10 dollar bundle for both together
Bundle release anytime now
Midimux
midimux lets your iOS device talk MIDI to your Mac - using the standard usb to lightning or 30 pin cable.
Available on the app store!
Have you guys seen midimux and audiomux? iOS

Was waiting for the bundle as well...
However, when I was researching these apps, I found out about MusicIO - a joint effort from three companies including Secret Base Design - which just came out last week with a nice intro price of 2.99.
Currently, it sends and receives MiDi through the lightning/USB cable and apparently will support audio in the next update.
I downloaded it, and it works as advertised. My Midi controller, connected to the mac, plays iPad synths, or an EMI triggers the iPad synths, or an iPad keyboard/controller can play Reason synths.

Also a review on Midimux as well

Yes, been following it for a while. Look very promising. Can't wait to experiment with NaviChord or SoundPrism Mini or ElasticDrums or [fill in one of the many many great music apps out there].
Just need to find some time...

For Windows users.........
You can also send midi to an ipad over wifi using rtp midi (link)
Works well with reasons EMI, and best of all it's free.
Ok it can only do basic midi, but hey, its free.
I still have to run a cable from my pad to my s/c input for audio though

Hi guys, do you know if it is possible to click start on the Reason transport and have apps start in sync on an iPad using rtp Midi? I had a small play and could see the ipad and include it in the rtp midi session but couldn't get it to start in sync as described here. Ideally I'd like to be able to sync Figure to Reason but Korg Gadget, iMS20 would be nice too - basically anything!!
Cheers

I use rtpMIDI and Delora Software's rsTouch to control Reason (including the transport). That said, having other apps in sync while running that on the iPad? Not sure.Palmeira wrote:Hi guys, do you know if it is possible to click start on the Reason transport and have apps start in sync on an iPad using rtp Midi?
