Has anyone here had any success with getting Autotheory to output notes to track? I have installed and set up "loopMidi" as per the tutorial provided by the developer. The "loopMidi" ports appear as selectable Midi devices in my reason preferences window. However , they are not selectable in the dropdown menu on the External Midi instrument. Only my soundcard is available to select. Is there a way to successfully set this up so that it works? Are there any other Windows OS settings I should enable/disable when running this setup? Im using windows 7 and an ESI maya 44 sound card.

You might have to still add LoopMIDI as a control surface in Reason's preferences before it becomes available in the EMI menu.

I had those options activated already and it was still not working. The loop Midi ports were not available at all , only my soundcard. After fiddling around a bit in my Windows sound settings, I changed the "default" recording device to use my soundcard. For some reason it was not set like that. The Loopmidi ports are now selectable and im hoping to have some fun now.

I recommend to use Copperlan instead of loop MIDI. You can use the manual from the Retouch website for its setup. http://www.retouchcontrol.com/free.aspx

Here is the manual from Pitchblend who made AT, anyway: http://www.pitchblende.co.nz/AutoTheory ... -Track.pdf

Thanks I will give it a try. I couldnt get Loopmidi to work , even though the Loopmidi channels appeared on the EMI menu.

Don`t forget to lock your virtual MIDI controller to the right track!

If it is available i will do so ,thanks. In Loopmidi I could only assign "chords" to either of the EMI's and not both "chord" and "note" simultaneously to separate EMI's
