I sent the request on Feb. 4. I got an auto reply. While waiting I was wondering if changing your Props ID was a smooth experience or not  :s0826:

Nice to know. Do you remember how long it took when you got a reply from them?

I used the online contact form, they changed it the next day. But being a software company they may just be uber busy right now

I have replied to Ryan's private message. This is the week end now. It should be solved next week hopefully.

I finally got a reply back from the Props 20 hrs ago (yes I was waiting all this time):

Hi,

I'm terribly sorry for our delayed reply. We have been doing some research and unfortunately we are not able to change your user name as of now. We appreciate your feedback and hope that we'll be able to do this in the future.

Sincerely,

Any reason why you need to change it? We have no forum there and Reason 8 (and likely beyond) allows auto login...

Thinking about changing mine so people recognize me better if I post something to Discover.

Waited for weeks...and then got exactly the same reply as you...word for word!  And probably sent-out at the same time.

Replying to emails isn't a P/heads strong-point.

I put a ticket in for this very issue, waiting to hear back on it. Was this ever resolved?

Edit: as of March 10th, changing user names is not possible with no ETA for availability of this process.

This is speculation, but I believe a silent headcount is being done to accurately gauge customer retention. It's hard to track changed usernames. But maybe it's part of a new feature involving login they're working on.
