Well I suppose if there was a big enough sample to represent the wider Reason community you could tell if the claim that version 8 is the best selling version to date was true.

From the small amount of data so far it shows that most 8 users have upgraded from 7 and that there's  plenty still using v7 which would put R7 comfortably at the top of the heap.

But then again we've clearly been told already that forum users don't represent the wider Reason community which is partly why the 'official' forum has been axed.

I'm on 7.1.1 with the expansion packs, which rock BTW.

Well it's not that bad, it's the same as Essentials but doesn't have Dr. Octo Rex & doesn't support RE's plus it has only 8 Instrument & 8 Audio tracks which is not a problem for me, still can make amazing tracks out there, well some filter would be handy, though!

Naw, what I meant is that there is no option for you to vote...screw up number two for the poll....I'm doing well in the new forum...

7 but upgrading to 8 as soon as I'm done with this project I'm in the middle of.

I never upgraded beyond 4.0. Once you go pure vst.. it's hard to go back.

I got versions from 5 to 8. Now I use 6.5 on older Mac (10.6.8) and 7.1 on newer Mac. I got version 8 too, but it's so annoying so I downgraded to 7.1.

I'm not sure it's case, but I jumped from 6.5 to 7 in grace period, so I got 8 too. But I paid 6-7 upgrade...
