Looks like something might be on its way next week...

My speculation of what the news next week might be: "We made some good progress on VST3 implementation and expect to open it to the beta testers around Christmas."
Well, thankfully the beta never ended… hopefully that points to favorable news
Well, I didn’t expect next week to mean next day. Beta test it is. New thread!
Regarding Umpf Retro, have you double checked in Authorizer/Companion that you have version 1.0.2? This is what it looks like for me at 200%:
As for the transport, I can't reproduce this on my M1 (first gen MBP 13"). What hardware are you running on, which exact OS version, and which zoom level have you set in Reason?

How can I receive MIDI from a VST?
latest V12 on MacOS Ventura
If the plugin allows for drag'n'drop you can use this to get the MIDI into the sequencer. Otherwise: use another DAW with a more complete VST implementation.

You really want to tell me reason can't receive midi on a VST plugin? Oh Jesus, I start to loose my believe in this software. Probably the last update I bought. Time to leave the sequencer behind and use something useful like Bitwig

I will find it quite annoying that if once the VST3 feature is implemented it immediately brings with it startling missing features or whatever that needs RS to devote lots of time and resources to going forward.
All this talk reminds me of this:
VST3 was launched into Beta the following day. Its open for everyone to test (if you have R12 or R+)

In the June 2022 roadmap it says this :
"For the second half of the year, we are already deep in research on an ambitious instrument, developed in-house by the team you are familiar with by now: Mattias, Ludvig and Andreas together with DSP-genius and Propellerhead co-founder Peter Jubel."
any news about this instrument? or maybe it will be featured in the december 15th live stream

I'm most likely in a very small minority here, but I actually care more about new interesting devices than improvements to the DAW. Not counting bug fixes of course.Kilsane wrote: ↑11 Dec 2022In the June 2022 roadmap it says this :

Wonder what the instrument is. RS usually have a knack for putting together fun, easy to use instruments, while still retaining some depth and tweakability. That's what they do best imo.
