convert audio to MIDI

I found a couple of videos that suggest you can convert an audio track to MIDI by just dragging it into a MIDI track.. Doesn't work at all for me. Does this work for anyone else? what am I missing?

Yes it works. I'm not at my pc now so this is from memory but I think you double click your audio clip and from there select pitch edit. I usually quantize the notes there, then exit out and drag the clip to the new midi lane.

You open the editor for audio, pitch edit then right click on the audio clip and bounce to midi. But you’re right, you need to pitch edit first.
