No sale price on upgrades?

I can see that new licences are discounted but no discount for upgrade prices. Is this correct? Seems a bit harsh.

That's correct.
New customers are more valuable than existing ones.

"Cocaine and Prostitutes"
Which reminds me of my mobile phone company. Well, Reason Studios just won another -1 point for me, Studio One is getting nearer in my personal list everyday

Yeah, Studio one is great but I just never get anything done in it.
I'm bummed a little but I don't really need 11 anyways. Holidays are gonna be TIGHT this year

I suppose I might have been tempted by an R11 upgrade sale.

Unfortunately I would not even have been tempted by an R11 upgrade sale Rewire.. ? High DPI support. ? - ;_;
I logged into the store to buy Suite even though I have three of the main instruments included and I'm on version 10. Not even $10 off? But new people getting $100 off?
It's a poor decision to not tip their hat at all to long term customers, so I didn't buy it.
Now... who will I actually spend money with? Native Instruments? Ableton store on packs? Uhe - Zebra is 30% off! Audio Imperia? Spitfire Audio? Heavyocity? Behringer analog gear? Steinberg?

JRRShop - using the code "forum" gets you the R11 upgrade for about $115.
Also in case anyone is looking for a new DAW, you can grab Studio One Pro 4.5 from JRRShop with the code "group" for the crossgrade deal price of about $167.

That will also get you a discount on the Reason Suite Upgrade through JRR Shop. It bought it down to just under $222. Not much but it’s something.
How come? Is Studio One not so inspiring? Or not as intuitive as some users say? I am really thinking of switching to it because I am getting some vocaloid stuff nextly and I am going the piapro way, which includes the artist version of Studio One, that might be the right step for me to start using it

For me, personally, I find Reason to be the only one that does it for me. Studio one is a fantastic piece of gear and I like it but something about the package and my nektar (I've had mine for years) and the babyface pro that just all adds up.reddust wrote: ↑22 Nov 2019How come? I even had an Atom and Faderport (though in hindsight I should have gotten the Faderport 8 ) but I never made music. I just felt lost with it. Kinda the same thing with Cubase. Good program, never really made any music with it.
Reason simply does everything I need in a nice stable box. It's intuitive and I feel more like making music with it. Yeah, I think it's missing a lot but I find workarounds like that and I've gotten to where it's just silly for someone like me to be host hoping

BTW, If I was ever to "switch" I'd go with the Abe's. Expensive as hell (it really requires push) and I'm not doing it but that would be the one. BTW, to continue my gabbing, I like Bitwig but hate the company. I just simply refuse to use it, I'd go with Live any day.

I'm pretty sure reason has had midi out for like five years already
no midi out of the rack vst
Its a shame, not sure i would have bought an upgrade on sale anyway. What did worry me was Mattias tweeting about how great the suite upgrade price is .... seems he misses the point where customers already own loads of the devices? clueless? or just zero cares given?

I'd be surprised if it was Mattias's decision on the sales/finaicial side. I could be wrong. For me looking at it from the outside I just wish this new CEO guy would toddle back to telecommunications or whervever he came from. I dont think he gets it.
