Saw this yesterday. Looks pretty interesting! Or... a red herring? You decide.

Hah! And so it is.
Correct, but posted by Props on their feed.
So, on that note - are any of you excited about where Reason Compact is taken next?

I think they've just been spotlighting different users' creative spaces - really nice idea, and I've seen some great ideas for my studio! Don't think it signals anything else thoughEnochLight wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019Hah! And so it is.

Don't take that to mean anything. They're literally just sharing the pic of the setup. They've done this quite a few times.EnochLight wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019Correct, but posted by Props on their feed.

True. Are you excited about where Reason Compact is taken next? Ambivalent?

Tbh? Not very impressed with what's there right now. They'd have to really wow me to catch my interest. That said mobile apps aren't really my thing outside of playing keys live so I can leave the laptop home.EnochLight wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019True. Are you excited about where Reason Compact is taken next? "Overlooking the valley".
A pair of headphones and what you see in front of you: not what's on your monitor's screen, but what's beyond your window. Inspiration.

Honestly, too early to say! It hasn't really gone anywhere yet so I'm reserving judgement. If it gets multi-track, and some additional synths and drums based on Reason favourites *and* the ability to transfer those ideas into Reason, then yes. I'll be happy Although tbh my dream was always just a straight up tablet version of Reason. Even if it was like R5 or something. It'd be amazing!EnochLight wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019True. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want their monitors to be set up like this. And why the gigantic monitor for the mixer and the tiny monitor for everything else? Then there's the sun blinding you while you work. That's gonna be a no from me, dawg.
As far as Reason Compact, isn't it just Europa currently? And only IOS?
As far as the future of Compact, I'm interested if they get it on Android. And only if they pull it off to be something along the lines of Caustic 3. I don't make music on a tiny ass little touch screen very often, but when I do, Caustic is a very logical and usable way to do it.

Since that juice video, I’m excited for Re as a whole.EnochLight wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019True. Are you excited about where Reason Compact is taken next? Ambivalent?
I want them to take their products where ever they can. And in that video he explained how Re could be able to be made as a RE and then easily moved to vst, Mobile, web etc.
I seriously hope that’s what they are working on, that would be amazing if their mobile platform could go hand in hand with their main rack.
I have a feeling that they are working on something pretty big. Idk what or when, but the fact that they even spoke about such topics at least says it’s all possible

I hear you, but I suppose it depends on what inspires you. I've had my studios in a basement with just a tiny glass-block window in the corner of the room for 20 years, so I've pretty much only known the dark when I produce. That said, I'd trade that in a second - if - I had the opportunity to have a properly treated and comfortable room with a view like that.
As for the mixer on the huge-ass monitor setup, I could see that being incredibly useful if I was in full mixdown mode and didn't need go to my rack anymore. But I tend to separate my production and mixdown stages.
