Seriously, am I midi stupid? Am I just missing something obvious? I'm trying to sync my Beatstep pro and my keystep to reason (so I can use multiple sequencers with it), but there are just no options to do it. Both are connected via usb to my MacBook and I really don't see a reason why it won't work. Reason just has the one option of sending midi sync to one device. Its either super shameful or I'm a dummy. Hopefully Im the stupid one in this equation.

You have to split midi by additional software or hardware splitter. On windows try free MidiOx.

If you connect stuff via midi connectors Thru always echoes out the same data no matter how many units you have in the chain. But with USB each units becomes a unique "virtual midi" port. So a midi interface is a good thing.

It is a real lack in the preferences. So the best route is imho Midi OX.

That is silly. It's incredibly easy to do it on Ableton or Cubase. Why props why?!? Tons of stuff is usb now. I have a few Boutiques I'd like to sync too.... ugh. Maybe I can work something out in OSX midi preferences.
