Cool little toys!! Really enjoying the bass one. I'll have to get into them more this weekend.

Even if they are free: do they have any kind of copy protection? NI Software Center or §$%§$% like this?

What's wrong with it? Don't you have any NI plugins?

For my part, I don't have any NI plugins installed. Still have a >10 yr old Battery3 license, but don't use it.

The only VST plugins I accept are single files which I simply put into the correct destination folder. Anything else (installers and all the crap) is not negotiable.

But (unlike you) I'm Reason-only user. That simplifies a lot! ;)

I get you! When things are too complicated, it's not fun.

Yeah, I don't have any NI stuff. I'm pretty much also in the DLL and a key gang. There are one or two exceptions on my system (Equivocate? I'm sure there's something else iLok) but in general I avoid.

It’s only temporarily free so it makes sense but yeah having to have another program to manage licenses is a bit of a pain if you don’t normally use NI.

ha ha  No way - sorry. I'm a "legalizer". While I don't use the plugin, I still have the sample libraries on my SSD - and I like them very much.

And maybe some day (if Reason's VST performance has been improved) I remember my old license and give it (finally) a try. ;)

The bass instrument is really good. I’m quite impressed. As for the kickdrum I wish it also had a snare and hihats.

BTW Does anyone here use the Kong drum synths?

I've experimented with them a fair amount - I assume you mean the synth kick in particular. You can get some cool sounds out of them, but I haven't found them to be the most versatile. Best when layered up with different click samples.
