Actually, I was just about to delete that because I can no longer reproduce that issue. I'll check back if it reappears.

The only fix is this:

Case 323827: RV7000 MKII: PreDelay changes the impulse response

It's slightly scary coming this late during the test period, so please test this thoroughly during the weekend. It concerns running Reason at 96kHz and using IR samples at 44.1 and 48kHz. Changing predelay and size should not alter the sound in any unexpected manner.

Happy testing, and have a nice weekend!
Whatever the problem was, it seems to be fixed. I can't spot any unusual behaviour on 96k.

decided to finally install the beta (non logging). Very comfortable in it, so much so that I don't launch 8.2 anymore. Everything has been stable here but I find the zoom (Z) not to be what I was expecting, i thought it would zoom out max vertically as well.. and bigger.. like the size on the comp/edit page.. Just a quick horizontal zoom in? I could be doing something wrong.. and i don't see a key shortcut to get it back to "un" zoom?

People mentioned that earlier, but it's simply the case that your song needs to be large enough to have something to unzoom to.

The fact that it's just horizontal zoom is okay for me, if it had been vertical zoom as well, I'd find it annoying as I usually use one fixed vertical zoom throughout a session (unless I have to do something specific). Maybe an checkbox option for vertical zoom could be added.

Zoom example:

-empty project

-set a loop to 8 bars

-insert dr. rex and load 2 bar loop

-notes to track

-select the first 2 bar rex clip in the sequencer and press Z

-you are now zoomed in to that 2 bar clip. Press Z again. You are now zoomed out to the 8 bar sequence again

Edit: example continued:

-now select the 4 2 bar clips and join them (our just select them and don't join them but keep them selected)

-press Z and nothing will happen (if you didn't zoom in or out in between steps). Press Z again. Nothing will happen again, because the zoom is already at both the minimum and maximum allowed for what you have selected.

Works perfectly :)

Thanks Exo (is that ok for short so I don't have to type out the full name every time?)

That makes sense, but I am all for the suggestion of a vertical option checkbox.. it feels only half done to me (just imo).

I usually have everything small and manually open tracks and vertically zoom as i need, so as you can see, we all work differently ;) and the vertical auto zoom would be an absolutely huge thing for me.

Yip loving this new way of updating.  I've no idea how difficult it is to code-in such a feature but it's much appreciated!

Just updated! LOVE the easy updating process now!!!
But guess what? Dragging and dropping audio files into Reason no longer works! I kid you not. I start an empty song, and when I try to drag and audio file into the sequencer or into the RV7000 for impulses, I get the Ø mouse pointer symbol (the no you can't do that symbol).

I've restarted Reason, rebooted, and it's just like Reason 7 and below - drag and drop is gone. Wow.

I cannot be the only one. Why me?
And I've checked the version. It is not the beta I'm reopening, it is the 8.3d92 "stable channel".

Bizzare. So now I have broken McDSP EQ's, and no drag and drop. This is the most trouble I've ever had with Reason. Could I be doing something wrong?

Hm works on my computer. Anyone else experienced this?
