every time I post something I get a "can't connect to server" at Reasontalk. when I go back and republish it will be published. works like this since a couple of days under Safari/OSX.
Eauhm was able to reproduce this in safari when it takes him longer than 3 minutes from starting to write a post, to actually pushing submit.
I wonder if it's a safari issue.
If someone else have this issue, please report it here.

Ok, so here is what we can confirm.Marco Raaphorst wrote:every time I post something I get a "can't connect to server" at Reasontalk. when I go back and republish it will be published. works like this since a couple of days under Safari/OSX.
The particular issue is not server-oriented. For some reason, the browser you're using (and eauhm used for the test) simply times out. When he was writing a post and waited for too long, nothing was sent to the server. Reasontalk simply doesn't receive anything.
This is at least confirmed for:
Code: Select all
iPhone OS 9.3.5 - Safari/601.1

We will test with another browser as well.Code: Select all
iPhone OS 9.3.5 - Safari/601.1
It was also possible to reproduce this error using Chrome on iOS (9.3.5).
However, it was not possible to reproduce this error using Chrome on Android (Nexus 6P, Android 7.0.1).
So far, it looks like a problem with browsers running on iOS.

I am using osx. No problem with Wordpress.
Alright. For how long did you leave your post form open with the WordPress test? Yesterday, we tested this with pressing "Post reply", wait for more than 5 minutes, and press submit.Marco Raaphorst wrote:I am using osx. No problem with Wordpress.

over 8 minutes. Wordpress forms won't log whether or not the form is used and for how long.Kenni wrote:Alright. For how long did you leave your post form open with the WordPress test? I've had several sysop's looking at our configuration to see if it's a problem on our side. They're all stranded. The fact that we don't even get a request from you when you try to post tells us, that this is a protocol issue with the way safari handles cache and cache-control. There's no way we can do anything about this, I'm afraid.
Has the Safari protocol been updated on OSX/iOS lately, aside from through an OS update?

It is still an issue. Probably when you type in a longer response. Maybe the cookies get outdated or something like that...
