Any experiences with Slate Raven/Reason?

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

I'm buying a Raven set for my ProTools mixing but I haven't seen much about Reason/Raven integration here, or on other sites.I do all of may composing in Reason with a Nektar Panorama P6. How does Reason work with Raven? I'm hoping the gestures and multi touch has been implemented in Reason. Or maybe I can use the Raven as normal double monitors?

If Slate does not advertise/mention Reason support specifically for the Raven I'd expect it to be pretty much unsupported. Sadly the Nektar Panorama P6 is one of the very few controller keyboards with decent Reason support.

If it is basically just a (multi) touch screen, then it might work, but in general touch support in Reason is very basic.

The only guy I know with a Raven has ‘tired’ of it, as it didn’t turn out quite as cool in regular use as they originally thought. I never gelled with it myself, as it requires so much visual interaction to make sure you’re hitting the right target. Not much muscle memory either due to the lack of tactile feedback, so you may never get fully “up to speed” over time on it. Other users apparently love it still, but it’s not clear how much they are leaning on it as a primary controller.
So even if it works perfectly, it may grow on you or it may not… ;)
