Please show the guitars in your Reason studio.

Here's my first one from 1977, which I built, and am in the process of upgrading (the bridge now includes a piezo pickup, which gives an acoustic tone, in addition to the regular Les Paul type pickup)

Excuse me while I hijack your thread.
No guitars were harmed in this recording.
I tried to post a pic of my dilettante guitar collection but the internet wasn't biting, so here we are

This is our main family portrait here at the Northwoods House of Sound (and Fun).
I guess we tend to favor Fender and Gibson, but there are a few other instrument not included in the photo...

Sorry for my drunken interruption. Internet refuses to accept my pics.

Steel 6 string someone left at a girlfren's house, decent guitar.
$200 Donner electric 6 string cos musical partner refused to bring one of his "good" guitars down to my rehearsal hole.
Classical 6 string I traded a Remo practice drum set for.
$200 Ibanez electric bass, worth every penny!
'62 Jazzmaster needs some serious work.

There must be a limit to how many guitars a drummer can own.

Yeah I’ve said it.

Getting one soon, old and cheap!

However, I had my son's guitar here and my dad played it & then I played it too and it became the Mike Oldfield inspired track Sunburst. Do you dig it?

It’s is always important to emphasize.the pinkness of a guitar. See pink Fender bass above. :)

That's because they produce a lot of pink noise, I suppose.

I like the effect!
I've been afraid of painting any of my instruments, I really should just jump in and experiment - aways wanted a robins egg blue Strat… :)

Here are mine!

There's a 1970s Emperador (Japanese Stratocaster copy) that I've had since the 1987, a 1990s Aria acoustic that a Japanese friend of mine brought to Australia with him many years ago, and a bass that I bought cheap off the Internet.

Image

What was that? They're in their cases? Oh yes. That's because I'm a really crappy guitar player, lol

Seriously though, as I practice more with them, I will be integrating them with my synth music. I'm just not there yet :)

I had 9 guitars when I moved from Glasgow to Sweden. The dry winter air took 4 of them. Glasgow weather with 100% humidity all year round was obviously a better climate for guitars.

the whole current collection
IMG_0174 (1).jpg
in the floor rack
  • Fender Modern Player bass (P-pickups Jazz neck) - with flats
  • Squier short-scale bass - with humbuckers and flats (this thing sounds so freaking good)
  • G&L ASAT - Bluesboy, I think?
  • semi-partscaster kit build (doesn't work yet...)
  • Squier Jaguar
in the wall rack
  • Alvarez parlor acoustic (gorgeous sound and playability for very little moolah)
  • Epiphone SG Muse with tremolo
better shot of the crappy kit build I 'finished' recently...I need to take it to a tech because I somehow botched the electronics (first ever attempt at building a kit) 😅
IMG_0177 (1).jpg
I don't think I spent more than $500 on any of these(except the MP bass, and potentially the G&L)...I don't believe in paying a premium for the label on the thing. the ones that work all play and sound fantastic. looking forward to getting the kit one working, because I put some good pickups in it and locking tuners, and because I think it looks badass despite my ineptitude. 😆

Wow, may need a list (I need to update my post with a list too). Is that double-neck a 6/12 string, or a bass/guitar (can't tell from the pic)?
Looks like some pretty exotic stuff!

oh, I forgot my Steinberger. that thing is pretty cool too, but I don’t love the pickups, so don’t play it often. surprisingly heavy too. 🤔

nice collection—and recording space! doing much the same in my place (also doubles as our rehearsal space), but there are only 4 of us.
