I'm thinking about buying an SL61 mk3 as a master keyboard and I'm still unsure about certain functions and Reason integrity. Maybe someone can help.
1.) Do the displays of the 8 rotary controls on the SL automatically show the names of the Combinator controls from the combinator from Reason (i.e. feedback from Reason). ? Do the names in the Display also change when I change the track in Reason and go to a new Combinator?
2.) If I then turn the SL rotary controls after a track change, do the values jump or can I continue to change the Combinator controls from the existing position without any offset/jump, as with the Behringer X-touch mini? And are the current values after a Track change also shown on the SL display?
3.) Do the LEDs of the switches take over the status (i.e. on/off like in toggle mode) when I switch to different tracks with the respective combinator?
4.) Can I reliably change tracks in Reason with the SL? I sometimes have problems with a Novation Launchkey mk3 because it sometimes skips tracks and doesn't switch through in sequence
5.) Are you satisfied with the SL61 mk3 in terms of quality? Is there perhaps anything else worth mentioning?
I want to use the SL for live sessions and jump to different prepared tracks one after the other while playing. In addition to the notes played, I also want to record the controllers (switches and dials from the combinator) in Reason without any jumps. I don't want to have to constantly look at the laptop.
Thank you very much in advance for the answers
