Hi guys, haven't messed around with reason for a few years, since Windows XP, Delta 1010 and so on.
Recently felt like having a play again so got a little M-Audio Keystation 32 Mini. Hooked up fine.
Running Windows 11 and a Creative Soundblaster Z. I realise things have changed but I am a bit lost.
Reason detected keyboard and responds showing audio is playing when I create an instrument. But I hear nothing.
In audio options, both ASIO ASIO4ALL v2 and ASIO Creative SBZ Series ASIO show the keyboard is working creating sound on the instrument but no audio. If I select DX Speakers (Sound Blaster Z) I get everything working, including bad latency.
The samples and latency changes on all three
ASIO4ALL - 512 samples 14/13ms (in out latency)
ASIO Creative SBZ - 2,400 samples 51/50ms (in out latency)
DX Speakers (Sound Blaster Z) - 4,096 samples 1/0ms (in out latency)
I apologise but if anyone can help fathom this out, it would be nice.
Added keyboard fine but no audio output (ASIO + Creative Labs = Win11))

You might be on your own here, as that kind of setup seems rather exotic. Have you checked if there is some kind of control panel for your sound blaster where you might be able to configure it properly?

Is your interface the built in one on your computer? I would imagine asio4all should work sending audio through your computer speakers. This sounds like an asio4all issue, not a keyboard or reason issue

I see nothing in the windows sound panel about asio (show disabled and disconnected devices are ticked) or on the creative command panel. Although I know the card is asio capable. On the asio4all CP I see thisPhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑29 Aug 2024Is your interface the built in one on your computer? I would imagine asio4all should work sending audio through your computer speakers. Something is wrong but I am not sure what, at all.

Everything looks good in reason. I’m not familiar at all with Asio4all other than the fact people without dedicated external audio interfaces use that to get better latency out of their system, and I’m also not with your creative system.
If the system audio works with the creative system, perhaps you may need to tweak the windows audio settings? I would start by selecting asio4all as the main output for system audio and see if the creative system picks that up. Hope you get it sorted!
