Akai MPD218

Just picked up the 218 and for some reason when I hit pad 4 it triggers 6. Any suggestions?

This is a well known issue with this equipment. I have one myself, and it was driving me crazy... I found this on YouTube and it pretty much fixed my issues. Your mileage may vary...

When I first got mine I had a few double-triggers on pads but it "settled down" after a day or two, which I put down to my fingers learning how best to hit the pads rather than anything else.

It's a superb controller - its default mapping works really well with the Reason devices like Kong and Chord Sequencer.
