Any clue as to what my options are for adding a coaxial digital spdif input to my workstation pc are? Cheap usb dongle? Ancient sound card with windows 11 drivers?

Do you have an external soundcard? Or do you just need one digital spdif coaxial input?

What is your budget?

Seen them only the other way round ie.: usb to spdif. You need good asio drivers btw to obtain good low latency.

Maybe this fits your budget: https://focusrite.com/products/scarlet ... efurbished

Do you have an ADAT input you're not using? That seems to be standard on a lot of interfaces these days.

If so, get a Midiman/M-Audio CO2 box, which converts coax to optical/ADAT, and vice versa. Pretty handy little box to have around if your studio has optical/coax connections.

Topping E30 II has it all. Plus it's high-end. When I got it, it was 150 EUR.

Took a look at it, it seems to do the trick I guess. It even has ASIO drivers!

Nice one mate!

I use ASIO4ALL regardless x D ~ mostly because I also use a Focusrite Scarlett with a Rode NT1 mic.
