So remember that press release that Reason made in 2018? Or the 2019 demos from Superbooth and NAMM? I was prompted to make a comment on the post about it: "...if you are going to go through the trouble of making something like this, I can't see why you wouldn't target the functionality that's already in Reason, the Combinator. Of course you could have combinators chained together virtually inside the unit. And you use Reason to build the combinators you want."

Well now, in response to a leaked picture, 4MS have revealed their META MODULE. It uses a port of VCV Rack! There will be so many VCV versions of actual hardware modules -- all of the 4MS ones (SWN, SMR, DLD, SRS, Ensemble Osc, etc) as well as Befaco, NLC, Vult, Mutable Instruments. CDM did a great writeup about it.
